Pecan Creek Haus | River Road | Guadalupe River

The location for this property is excellent. It's quiet, has great proximity to the river and a lovely outdoor area to enjoy the view. Tube rental is conveniently just a few doors down at Mountain Breeze, along with some surprisingly tasty pizza. The interior is as advertised: simple and clean. Our chief issues echo those of others: The Air Conditioner is not quite adequate on hot days/nights. If you are someone who needs it cold to sleep, this may not be your place during hot weather. This unit advertises that it sleeps 4, which is true, but I would not subject even small children to sleep on the fold-out. My 14-year old ended up using the couch cushions on the floor vs. the fold-out bed. The WiFi was only findable when we were outside on the porch. If you are planning to work and need WiFi, keep this in mind.

The upstairs cabin was hot, the refrigerator never got cold, and there was no sink in the bathroom. The listing shows a nice pavilion and deck area by the river, but it is shared between entirely too many people. There was simply not enough space. Not enough parking. Not enough internet to even report issues. Check-in is at 4pm but we didn’t get the code until after that time. Do not recommend.

Very clean little space with a bed, couch with a fold out bed and an additional couch. Stocked with cooking utensils, bathroom essentials and a washer and dryer.

Clean room, easy to communicate, close to the activities but just far enough away to make it really quiet.

Nice little room. Perfect for what we needed. However, we were upstairs, and you can hear every move someone makes in the downstairs rental. You can hear them talking and what TV show they are watching loud and clear. Luckily we were only there in the evenings and outside most of the time.
